                    Ugh, why do politics make me feel gross? Why must they be so uncomfortable? Growing up I had little to no interest in learning political views of others. Not because I didn't view other people's opinions as important but because those individuals who seemed well versed in politics always came across as dry, boring know it all’s with little to no personality. I guess I didn’t realize how much emotion and human fallacy was woven into the GAME of politics, honestly, it's like watching a telenovela at times. Political Chess   Watching grown adults, who on paper are very well educated, go on national television and or social media and regurgitate false, unresearched, disproven, bias information is WILD! However, this Phenomenon is unfortunately NOT new and occurs on almost every level of political discourse. Empowering Voices: The Role of Citizen Participation in Public Policy Creation

  How Involved should we be in public policy making? Should we only go as far as voting for and official and letting them handle the rest?   For me is feel s like a debate that first starts out by asking , how much power and or influence should a person or group of people have. As time moves forward and society continues to evolve the balance of power is ever shifting and makes it very clear that without public interaction, we may find ourselves on the end of less power over the decisions that are made for us . Not only how much power is being held but who decides who holds said power and how they are allowed to wield it.   The problem (not really) is that our societ y is increasingly diverse . W ith all of the different cultural backgrounds , belief system s and Flat world theory's , it's difficult to see how it would be efficient to have every topi c of contention voted on b y each member of society before we were able to move forward with change.
